Inceputuri / Beginnings

Urmare celui de al II-lea razboi mondial, structura geopolitica a mapamondului, dar in primul rand a Europei de Est, a suferit modificari esentilale, declasand in randurile Romanilor aflati in tara sau surprinsi de evenimente in tarile beligerante, procesul emigrarii, a exilului politic.
Following the Second World War, the geopolitical structure of the world, and especially that of Eastern Europe, underwent fundamental changes, setting off a wave of immigration among Romanians in the country or those caught by events in the belligerent states.

Dupa peregrinari in cautarea azilului in diferite tari, cum au fost Germania, Franta, Spania, Anglia, o parte din ei au inceput sa se stabileasca in Ontario, Canada. Asa a aparut primul grup de Romani in Toronto, sositi in perioada 1948-1954. Putem mentiona, sosirea domnului Tony Lupu in data de 17 Ianuarie 1948.
After pilgrimages to seek asylum in different countries, including Germany, France, Spain and England, some of them came to establish themselves in Ontario, Canada. This is how the first group of Romanians in Toronto came about, arriving here between 1948 and 1954. Of note is the arrival of Mr. Tony Lupu on January 17, 1948.
